Is distance learning available? (SAIL)
SAIL distance learning is currently only available for secondary SAIL students. SAIL elementary is a blended learning program where students attend 4 days a week at Brookside Elementary.
For more information on registering for the Surrey Academy of Innovative Learning (SAIL) please click here.
How do I register for specialty or choice programs?
Surrey Schools offers a number of "choice" programs that challenge students and enhance special skills or subscribe to certain philosophies. Students still receive the regular B.C. school curriculum, but also have an opportunity to extend their understanding and experience.
You do not need to live near the school or in the district to enrol.
Kindergarten registration in the four most popular programs (Early French Immersion, Intensive Fine Arts, Montessori and Traditional) is done through an online lottery application.
Click here for more information about the kindergarten programs of choice lottery.
My child is in grade 7 and will be going to secondary school in the next school year. Do I need to register my child?
If your child is currently in grade 7 in an elementary school in our school district, they will be registered into their catchment secondary school automatically. You would only need to register your child if they currently attend an elementary school in another district and wish to attend a secondary school in the Surrey School District.
If you would like to enquire about registering for a school that is not in your catchment, please contact the school directly to ensure the school can accommodate your request.
