Communication Services
The Communications Services department is responsible for overseeing a wide range of internal and external communications activities that support and facilitate the Surrey School District’s vision for learning – Learning by Design – where we prepare our learners for a world in which they think creatively and critically, communicate skillfully, and demonstrate care for self and others.
The department works closely with trustees, district leadership and schools to facilitate and support clear, accessible, accurate and timely communications – both with school communities and within the district itself. The department oversees a wide range of internal and external communications activities, including community engagement, media relations, marketing, district branding and visual identity. The Communications department also produces annual publications, parent and staff newsletters, marketing materials, videos, photography and assists with coordinating district/school events.
